Introduction:

The Rubber Fig (Ficus elastica), also known as the Rubber Plant, is a popular ornamental houseplant. It is an evergreen tree known for its broad, glossy leaves , native to tropical regions, can be grown in the UAE’s hot and arid climate with the right care. In its natural habitat, it can grow into a towering tree. It purifies air, is low-maintenance, and adds a tropical touch to any space.

Care Tips:

Watering:  Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. but Overwatering can cause root rot, so ensure good drainage.

Soil:  Use well-draining soil (a mix of peat, perlite, and pine bark is great).

Fertilization:   Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during spring and summer, but in winter no need to fertilize it.
